Lid is an old Swedish word meaning hillside or slope. Just this road section is a part of the old main road between the Härryda and Skene villages. This stretch displays older road characteristics including stone slabs as part of the roadway. Along the lid you’ll find a kvartsmilsten (2.5 km stone marker) on a dry stone wall foundation, another stone inscribed 12 km, a maintenance rock marked 178 and a cup mark group on an erratic boulder. In some places the road stretch is edged with well built stone walls.
Make time to visit the old Dansered farm and its shops and restaurant.

From county road 549 turn on county road 546 (towards the Landvetter airport). The old stone vault bridge is just west of the road next to the Charkuteri factory. The lid is on the other side of the railway. To reach the farm take the first left (road 541). (See the map in the link)
