There are excellent opportunities for walks, exercise, natural experiences and recreation with the Råda manor farm as the point of departure. The farm lies at the base of the Labbera peninsula which in turn is part of the Lake Rådasjö nature preserve. Here are opportunities for enjoying fields of white wood anemone, taking an evening dip in the lake on a warm summer evening, wandering through rustling autumn leaves or gliding on skates over winter ice. The peninsula offers several varied paths. One is the Nature Path posted with information about birds, fish, insects, old trees and the Labbera ruin. The path extends for 2 km and is an easy walk – baby prams are allowed, but bicycles are not.
There are nature questions posted along the trail that can be answered using an app in smart mobiles. The app is called Naturfrågan Mölnlycke and can be loaded at AppStore or PlayStore.
The Labbera ruin has never been a finished building. It was built as a ruin by Baroness Martina von Schwerin as a surprise for her son in the early 1800s. Thus it is a valuable example of the romantic view of history that dominated the period. There are also signs that a hillfort stood here with a water magazine and stone built boundary walls.
