In addition to the lake itself, the Lake Rådasjö nature preserve includes country environments, shore woods, open pastures and temperate broad-leaf stands dominated by oak. The whole area around the Råda Manor is a well-preserved example of west-Swedish upper-class settings. Together with the nearby Gunnebo Manor it creates a very valuable biological and cultural whole. There are several valuable nature types in the preserve no longer widely spread in Sweden.
There is a 12 kilometer marked trail around the lake. Most of it is in the form of gravel paths running through the broad-leaf stands near the lake. Some parts are asphalted promenade and bicycle roads or through housing areas. A start sign and an overall map are found at the Råda Manor and at some other sites.
