This is a delightful trail that takes you through woods and fields around the densely built-up areas of Alingsås. Nearly 9.5 km long it meanders close enough to the municipal centre so that you can reach the trail with city busses. It dips in and out of two nature areas, namely Hjortgården, a part of a nature reserve, and the Stadsskogen park and residential district. In that way you can pick the trail up and leave it as you wish.
The Potato trail passes through oak woods, the edge of villa areas and into deep forests. Special are the oak groves between Hjortgården and Ängabo with its up and down slopes and the lovely paths through deciduous woods in Stadsskogen.
